微笑的力量 The Power of Smile
As time goes by, people are being busier and busier with working. In this circumstance, people forget our most excellent skill--smile.
There are a great many kinds of power of smile. First of all, common touch can be showed by a kind smile. Imagine that you go to a company to attend an audition. With a confident smile, you are more likely to answer the question better. Furthermore, smile can eliminate angry. As a philosopher said, smile before you begin to get angry. The last but not the least, it reflects calm of a person when he is in danger or in trouble.
The beneficial aspects cannot be stated completely in this passage. But you can understand its power when you smile.

Last week our music teacher taught us a song, named Indebted Heart. Through it I know that we should live with a thankful heart. At that time, I think of my parents. I think they are the first people I should thank. It’s them who give me life. It’s them who give me home. It’s them who bring me up. It’s them who look after me. It’s them who teach me knowledge and live happily. I should thank my parents giving me so much. Maybe I should think how to pay back the love my parents give me. But now I think the best way to be appreciated of my parents is to study well and then being a useful person to the society when I grow up.

自信的重要性 The Importance of Self-confidence
Currently, self-confidence has become the order of our life, which improves the theory that nothing is more valuable than self-confidence.
It is obvious that self-confidence means trust in one’s ability. If we are full of self-confidence, we’ll have creative power to live and work, helping us success or dreams come true. On the contrary, if we have no confidence in ourselves, there will be little possibilities for us to win. We’ll always face failure.
What’s more, no one can deny another fact that self-confidence gives us light when we walk in the dark and courage when we face stumbling blocks. With self-confidence, we can achieve goals in our life.

There are various emotions in the world. People need valuable emotions which can support them both in mind and in life. Friendship is one of the most vital emotions.
It is not easy to deal with friendship. As for friendship, sometimes you and your friend may meet difficulties. Trust is the most remarkable trait of forever friendship. Trust plays a very important role in daily communication. As the saying goes, “Between friends all is common.” Furthermore, tolerance is also a considerable factor in remaining good friendship. If your friend makes a mistake accidentally, you should have largeness of mind. Friendship is too precious. When we face some misunderstandings, we need to make joint efforts to protect our friendship. We should not give up friendship at random. We should treat our friends as treasures.
Friendship is so pure, clear and beautiful. We cannot be lack of friendship in our life. Try our best to insist our trust in making friends.

拯救地球 Saving Our Earth
It is very important to deal with the rubbish in cities. For one thing, rubbish may cause a lot of pollution. It may pollute the air, the water and the places we live in. For another, it may do harm to people's health.
So in our city, rubbish is well dealt with. First, it is sorted. Then old newspapers and glass are recycled. The harmful wastes are buried and the waste water is cleaned before it goes into the river. The government has already made laws against pollution caused by rubbish.
But that's not enough. We must all try our. best to prevent rubbish from polluting the environment so as to. save our city and our living place.
处理城市垃圾是一个非常重要的问题。首先，垃圾会导致污染。它会污染空气、水和人们居住的场所。其次，它会危害人类健康。

失败与成功 Failure and Success
Failure is so common in our life. No one can avoid it. When we fail in doing something, we often feel so depressed that we have no interest in other things. Sometimes failure can also make us lose heart. Therefore, no one wants to be a failure.
Success is what we all hope for, because it can bring us a sense of pride and a good reputation. The moment we succeed, we always feel so proud, as if having everything in our hands. If one enjoys his continuous success in his career, he will be famous and worshiped by others.
However, failure is the mother of success. One failure doesn’t mean you can never be successful. It depends on what we do to deal with failure. Those who are always afraid of failure and can’t go through it will never win. But as long as we can get some lessons and experience from our failure, we’ll be sure to succeed.
失败是生活中是很常见的。没有人能避免失败。当我们做某事失败的时候，我们经常觉得很沮丧，而提不起兴趣去做其他的事情。有时失败会使我们丧失信心。所以，没有人想成为失败者。

珍惜时间 Cherish Time
If you ask me what is the most precious, I would say that it’s time. Time is something once lost, you could never have again. Therefore, we should cherish it and spend it in meaningful things. However, many people do too many meaningless things to kill their time, such as playing computer, watching TV, or gossiping. When you do these things, the time has long been unwittingly flowed away. In my opinion, the best way to make full use of time is planning your time rationally and sticking the plan firmly. Spending more time on something significant not only will make your life fulfilling, but also will give you a sense of accomplishment. Instead, killing your time with meaningless things would bring you depression even despair. Remember that those who abandon time will be also abandoned by time.
如果你问我什么东西是最宝贵的，我会说是时间。它是你一旦失去就再也得不到的东西。因此，我们都应该学会珍惜时间，把时间用在有意义的事情上。但是，很多人却做了许多无意义的事情来消磨时光，比如玩电脑、看电视或者说闲话。当你在做这些事情的时候，时间早已在不知不觉间流走了。在我看来，最好的珍惜时间的做法是合理安排时间，并坚决按照计划行事。把时间用在有意义的事情上，不仅会让你的生活更充实，也会给你带来成就感。相反，若是用那些无聊的事情消磨时间，则可能会让你觉得沮丧甚至绝望。记住，抛弃时间的人，时间也抛弃他。
