It is my pleasure to write this recommendation letter for my intelligent student, Yadi Wang. She is not only diligent but also good moral in our school. I will be very glad if my recommendation can help your evaluation of her capability.
I am the principle of the Zhengzhou 19th High School, which is a key high school in Henan province .In recent years, the 100 percent graduates from our school have been enrolled by university, and in addition, 80% graduates in our school have been recruited by national key university. I got to know her as a student of our school. She has been keeping a good balance between the arts and sciences, gaining high grades in each of them. 一、谨慎选择推荐人
一般来说，推荐人要尽量选择名气大的推荐人，比如美国的招生院校就比较看重推荐人和被推荐人之间有过密切接触和交流的，你可以选择学院的院长，学术研究带头人，或者是院士之类的名人。
老师的话可以选择任课老师中资格威望较高的，至于实习单位的推荐人可以选择实习期间直接上司。
二、推荐信组成内容
1、学习观念和学习能力
对顶尖的名校而言，面对两个A等生，较好的学习成绩并不能看出学生的学习过程和学习观念。
有的学生学习效率较低，但是，绝对勤奋刻苦;有的学生学习效率很高，掌握和消化知识的速度很快，然后腾出更多的时间去做其他有意义的事情。
所以，不同的学生有着完全不同的学习方法，在推荐信中要表示出自己的优势。
2、学术好奇心和上进心
如果一个学生希望入读文学专业，那么，招生官会关心学生在周末的时候会做什么。
会不会抓紧时间一周看一本文学名著?会不会去围绕某一个名家去做研究?会不会去找导师探讨研究方法等等，录取官需要看到学生是否有浓郁的学术好奇心。
3、综合素质和发展空间
在推荐信中要表现出学生是各方面综合发展的，并不是埋首故纸堆、固执己见的穷学究。
录取官希望从推荐信中寻找到学生发展空间的线索，预想在四年甚至更遥远的成长空间。
三、坚守真实性原则
虽说要尽量显示自己的优点，但也不可把自己塑造成“圣人”，要有一定的真实，即合理写作，体现申请者合理的优势和特征。
在写作风格上也不要全用套话，尽量写一些合理的评价语言，可以通过一个具体地事例来体现这些特质，并且一定是推荐人和申请者之间的事例。
英国留学推荐信书写禁忌
1. 老师全知道。你做什么事情，参加什么协会，选修了什么课，得了什么奖学金，老师都“写”在推荐信里了。我想除了导师以外，可能没有任何别的老师还能够这么做。不过也就是教了你一门课，然后一门课几十个学生。鬼才相信老师能够对几十个学生都了解到担任什么职务，参加什么活动，选了别的什么课。
所以写得特别玄的，一律是cheating。
2. 拼命夸奖。老师再好，也不可能把一个学生吹得比自己还要好。然后，就凭在自己教的课里面学生考了好成绩，说“这个学生是我看到最好的学生”--一个学生数分考试成绩好难道就一定能够做研究么?。这是在侮辱老师的智力。老师怎么能够仅仅凭考试成绩好担保一个学生就一定出色呢?
然后，满篇夸奖。都是形容词，就是看不到具体的例子。即使是“例子”，一看也是那种放之四海皆准，随便夸谁都可以的例子。我打赌，把Miss改成Mr，张三的名字换成李四的名字，那就是推荐李四的推荐信。
所以除了就事论事，说学生这门课学得很好，学生思路很活跃等等之外。除非有具体的例子，别的夸奖一定有问题。
3. 找理由搪塞。“我知道这个学生，因为我是她班主任。我跟她很熟，因为她担任班级职务。...”难道老师“写”一封推荐信，对于每一点东西都要解释么?这个好像下级向上级汇报工作一样。你认为推荐老师和推荐到学校的老师之间是这种关系么?
所以，只要事实陈述，例如“我认识她三年了”，不要理由。凡是拼命解释怎么认识学生的，多数不是老师“写”的。
4.荒唐的逻辑。“一个学生坐在第一排，她学习就很认真。”“一个学生认真记笔记，她学习很好。”看的人可能感到莫名其妙。
