This is XXX from XXX University writing you a letter with great pleasure. I am a postdoctoral research associate at XXX University. Here my wife and I would like to invite my mother to visit us in May, 2008. I am busy doing my researches now and have no time to go back to China. My joint advisors (Prof XXX and Prof. XXX at XXX University) hope I can finish my project within the next one and half years. Therefore it would be wonderful if we can spend some time with my mother and show her around at XXX University.
My mother is illiterate and lives in a small village in XXX Province. She even can’t speak Mandarin very well. But she is the greatest mother in the world. I really miss my mother very much. I came here in July, 2006 and I have not yet seen her for about 2 years. I believe it would be a wonderful reunion if she could get B-2 visa and join us for the best season in XXX. We may visit Chicago and Detroit, the two major cities close by as well.
My father and my younger brother’s family are still in China. My parents are looking after their 3-year-old grandson (my brother’s son). My mother enjoys her life very much with her husband and grandson in my hometown. She comes here just because she misses me and my wife. She will go back to China after she stays here for 6 months.

My name is xxx.I write this letter to apply a Visa to attend my graduation ceremony in United Kingdom.I will stay in UK 10 days. I believe that I have enough qualification, and have sufficient financial support to meet the requirements of obtaining a UK travel Visa. Firstly, my parents will provide sufficient financial supports for her stays in UK. Both of them are General Manager in large state-owned enterprise. They have very good salary. They attach their Housing Ownership Certificate to show they have enough financial capability to support my travelling.
Secondly, I started to work in the Greater China Appraisal (Shanghai) Limited since May, 2015. This company is very promising in the industry. I enjoy work here and I will earn around 100,000 CNY in one year. Therefore, I will come back Shanghai and continue my career after attending graduation ceremony.
Thirdly, I have been invited to attend a graduation ceremony at the University of Southampton on 16 July 2015 as a registered student studying for the award Master of Science in this university. This graduation ceremony must be a remarkable experience for me.
Lastly, I am providing some important documents to support my qualification and my guarantors Capital. Because I move to Shanghai in March 2015, the bank statement in Shanghai started in March 2015. Additionally, my working time is less than one month, I cannot provide payroll. In order to show my capital, I provide my housing purchase contract.
I had tried my level best to prepare all the necessary documents for the Visa application. I have translated all the files myself. This graduation ceremony is very important to me. It is my utmost hope that you will give me a kind consideration.

Letter to Visa Officer
To whom it may concern,
Here enclosed please find my application for visitor visa. I plan to travel from 05 Jan, 2015 to 15 Jan, 2015 in United Kingdom for sightseeing.
I have been working for Xiamen Xianghuiyuan Industrial and Trading Co., Ltd. for many years. And my position is Deputy general manager , I have a stable income, own big house and car, as well as a happy family.
Many people work harder for money and seldom have time to go aboard for sightseeing. I think they’ll miss the most valuable time in their life. I think such experience will enrich my knowledge and relax my mind. So I expect the United Kingdom trip will be a wonderful experience for me.
I searched on the internet and browsed some Internet forums. I found out United Kingdom is such a vast country and thus deserves to ‘digest’ its nature heritage and local customs. I will include Tower of London ,London Eye ,Hyde Park ,Liverpool Cathedral ,Birmingham central library ,St Philip's Cathedral …in our next trip.
My hometown is Xiamen, where I was born, live and work. I am familiar with everything here. As you all know, Xiamen is a beautiful, coastal city ,and it’s a city of the most suitable for human habitation. I love and gratitude to the city, never want to leave it. Besides, my parents, wife and son were live in here. As you know, in China's customs, the parents hope to live with their children together, and this is also my greatest wish. I have to take care of them like they used to care for me. Here I made a lot of friends and colleagues, a very happy life, I have cherished here to get the kinship and friendship. Therefore, I must return to China, continue my work after the end of the United Kingdom trip.
I swear I will obey United Kingdom’s law and will be back to China on time, because nothing is more important than honesty and good credit.
