  第一课时

  Step1 Greeting and review

  1.Greeting

  2. Show a map of the world. Teacher asks some questions about the map to review.

  Step2 Presentation:

  T: I love China. China is a beautiful country. The U.S., the U.K., Canada and Australia are beautiful, too. I want to go on a trip to a beautiful country. Do you want to go with me? Let’s take a plane. Please close your eyes. Ladies and Gentlemen,欢迎乘坐一小五三次航班。请大家坐好,系好安全带。飞机即将起航。本次航班的目的地是一个既美丽而又古老的国家。一会儿我们可以从高空看到它的全貌。这个国家的地图看起来就象一只正在吃萝卜的小兔子。

  Step3:New Concept

  1. T: Now open your eyes, please. Look! What is it? This is a map of the country. What country is it? (出示英国地图,并教授the U.K.和the United Kingdom。)

  2. 各位乘客,飞机即将在London机场降落。大家马上就可以开始英国梦幻之旅。祝大家旅行愉快。Now we are in the U.K.

  T: what do you want to know about the United Kingdom? Ss say it in their own group, and say it out in the class. such as : the capital city, language, position, the U.K.’s flag and others. Teacher helps students know about the U.K..

  (1)Beijing is the capital city of China. This is the capital city of the U.K. (指向英国地图上伦敦) What is the capital city of the U.K.? Can you say it in Chinese or in English? London is the capital city of the U.K.. (introduce London to students)

  (2)What do they speak in the U.K.? It’s easy. Do you know? They speak English in the U.K.

  (3)Look at the world map. Is the U.K. south of China? Is the U.K. north of China? Where is the U.K.? The U.K. is west of China. The U.K. is west and a little north of China. (解释a little)

  (4)Look, what’s this? (英国国旗图片) It’s the U.K.’s flag. What colour is the U.K.’s flag? It’s red, white and blue. The U.K.’s flag is red, white and blue.(介绍the same as) What does it look like?

  (5)李明和珍妮在和我们一起旅行,他们也有好多话要说,我们一起去听一听吧!

  播放课文录音,学生跟读,小组读,分角色读。

  第二课时

  Step1 Greeting and review

  1.Greeting。

  2. Show a map of the world. Teacher asks some questions about the map to review.

  Step2 Presentation:

  T: 今天我们要看一看英国的名胜古迹。

  (1)Oh, look,what’s this? It’s so big. It’s so beautiful. Do you know it in Chinese? (白金汉宫图片) It’s the Buckingham Palace.(补充介绍白金汉宫资料) Who lives in the Buckingham Palace? Do you know her?(女王图片) This is a queen. Queens live in Buckingham Palace. This is a king. (国王图片) Kings live in Buckingham Palace. Kings and queens live in palaces. Do you know something else about the U.K.?补充介绍( Big Ben, Tower Bridge, British Museum)

  (2)The U.K. is great! The capital city of the U.K. is London .It is west and a little north of China. They speak English. The U.K.’s flag is red , white and blue. Buckingham Palace is in the U.K. Kings and queens live in palaces.

  (3)Do you like The U.K.? Let’s have a test about The U.K..

  Step4:Expand

  I’m happy today, are you? The U.K. is beautiful! But we must go back now. Now we are on the plane. Ladies and Gentlemen,欢迎您再次乘坐一小五三次航班,本次航班将飞往中国。和我们同机的还有一些英国朋友。也许在你身边就坐着一位。你们可以和他们谈谈你眼中的英国。(students discuss in groups and fill in the blanks with the paper)

  Step5:Homework

  用今天所学的单词向你的家人或朋友介绍一下英国。

  情感目标: 通过创设情景发掘学生学习兴趣,通过角色扮演来调动学生的积极参与性。

  用所学词汇描述中国或者加拿大。

  Step2 New Concepts

  1、Demonstrate to learn know

  T:(指着中国或加拿大)What country is this ?(指着一个学生)Do you know?

  2、T:Yes! You know this country. This is China/Canada. (指着另一个学生)What do they/we speak in Chinese/English.?

  S乙:Chinese/English

  T:They/We speak Chinese/English. (指着另一个学生)what country is next to Canada?

  板书next to示意。

  (2)用the U.S.继续这个话题。板书:the U.S. = the United States美利坚合众国,简称美国,缩写为the U.S.单词的首字母及缩写形式都要大写。

  (3)让学生讨论他们所知道的美国。

  Use the students book and audiotape

  1、播放课文第一部分录音,让学生一边听一边整体感知课文,画出难懂的词句。

  2、教师板书生词,引导拼读,讲解词意并反复领读。

  3、再听课文录音,跟读。

  4、男女生分角色读课文。

  5、学生自由练习课文。

  Step3、检查学生掌握情况

  指名上台用英语描述美国。

  Step4、布置作业

  用所学词汇描述美国。

  第二课时

  Part 1:Greeting

  Good morning/afternoon, class! Where do we live?

  Part 2:Warming-up

  用所学词汇描述中国、美国或者加拿大。

  Part 3: Learn the new lesson

  1、介绍 美国的名胜古迹white house, Statue of Liberty.

  2、让学生拿出教科书,把课文第二部分读一遍,画出不懂得词汇。

  3、播放课文录音,学生跟读。

  4、教师讲解课文,并领读学生不会的单词。

  5、教师领读课文。

  Part4:练习

  把学生分成两组,一组住在美国,另一组住在中国,教师先和某一组在一起,然后和另一组站在一起。引导学生进行如下对话

  教师:What country is this?

  学生:China/the U.S.

  教师: Where do they live?

  学生: China/ the U.S.

  教师:(指着另一组)Where do they live?

  学生:China/ the U.S.

  教师:What do they speak?

  学生:Chinese/English

  教师:We speak but…

  学生:We speak but they speak
