教学过程：
一、Greetings.
Who can say sth about Chinatown?
二、Revision.
1.Sing a song.
2.Ask and answer.
Where did Daming go yesterday ?
What did he see ?
What did he eat ?
三、New teaching.
First ,Let the Ss read the texts by themselves.
Second ,Ask the Ss what the meanings of the text.
Third , Explain some difficult words and expressions to the Ss.
Fourth ,Listen to the tape and read after it.
Last ,Read the texts in pairs.
四、Homework

在教研组长和各位同事的大力指导下，这节课终于成型。本节课是本单元第一课时，在检查学生自主预习结果的基础上，本节课重点在于理解课文，把握描述“过去发生的事情”的句型，并加以拓展，学以致用，以达成本课的教学目标。课后自我反思总结如下。
1、教学目标较为明确，教学设计比较合理。从检查单词词组认读入手，到课文理解，所学知识的理解运用，循序渐进，学生较易接受。
2、在教学活动中注意运用小老师导学和小组自主互助合作的学习方式，展现了学生自主学习的能力，一定程度体现了学生的课堂主人翁地位，落实了自主互助学习理念。
3、教学评价及时，并贯彻教学过程的始终，评价方式采用自评、小组评、教师评价，短期与长期相结合的多种评价方式，有效调动了课堂积极性，提高了教师的课堂调控能力。
主要不足：课堂上还不能对学生大胆放手，今后还有继续探索提高学生自主学习效率的各种有效方式;此外，个别环节设计较难，因为课文与录音上所呈现的内容不一，以致学生在判断各封邮件的作者上有所迟疑，费时较多，这要在关注学生差异性特点上多下功夫;最后，时间不够充分分配不佳，影响了整体效果。
