笼统数字的译法
几个some，several, a few
十几个 more than / over a dozen，less/ no more than twenty

倍数的表示方法通常有以下几种 ：
用 X times as …as … 或者 X times the …of …
如：两倍 twice as ... as ... / twice the ... of ...
三倍 three times as ... as ... / three times the ...of
如：“这条河是门前小溪的三倍长”
This river is three times as long as / three times the length of the brook in front of the house.
用to increase by 表达：两倍 to increase by 100%; 三倍 to increase by 200%; 四倍 to increase by 300%......
如：“近年进口的粮食翻了一番” The imported grain this year has increased by 100%.
用to、double等动词来表达：两倍 to double; 三倍 to triple; 四倍 to quadruple; 五倍 to quintuple
The efficiency of the machines has been more than trebled or quadrupled.
这些机器的效率已提高了2倍或3倍多。
等值翻译：
