The number of Chinese studying master's degreesoverseas continues to increase, according to a report.
一份报告指出，出国读研的中国留学生的数量在持续攀升。
Students who apply for master's degree or aboveoverseas made up 68% of all students planning tostudy abroad, up 8 percentage points from 2017 and 11 percentage points from 2016, according to theReport on Chinese Students' Overseas Studyreleased by New Oriental Vision Overseas and KantarMillward Brown.
根据这份由新东方前途出国和凯度华通明略近日发布的《中国留学生报告》显示，计划出国就读硕士及以上学历的学生占所有计划出国留学生的68%，占比分别较2017年和2016年增加8个百分点和11个百分点。
The rise in the number of applicants for the master's degree or above overseas indicates anincreasing number of students willing to obtain a higher academic degree to elevate theircompetitiveness, the report read.
报告称，申请出国读研或以上学历的人数上升说明，想获得更高学历以提高自身竞争力的学生数量有所增加。
Students who apply for master's degree or above overseas accounted for 47 percent of allChinese students already studying abroad, the report showed.
申请海外硕士及硕士以上学位的学生，占中国所有已出国留学的学生总数的47%。
The interviewed students chose to study abroad for the purposes of expanding their horizons (64 percent), enriching life experience (64 percent), learning advanced knowledge (49 percent), and obtaining better jobs (44 percent).
受访学生选择出国留学的目的是扩大视野(64%)、丰富生活经验(64%)、学习高级知识(49%)和获得更好的工作(44%)。
The report was based on a survey of around 5,000 students who plan to go to school abroad orwere previously overseas students, and their parents and some employers, in more than 40 cities across China in February and March.
该报告是基于一项约5000名留学生(计划留学生和海归、其父母及一些老板)参与的调查而得出的。调查期在2月和3月，受调查者来自全国逾40座城市。

China's first school linked to the Belt and RoadInitiative, named Silk Road School, has opened itsdoors at the Suzhou Campus of Renmin University ofChina

The school is the first educational institution builtunder the Belt and Road Initiative. And it has grandgoals.

Hu Zhengyue, vice president of China Public Diplomacy Association, says the Silk Road Schoolwill be home to global talents, to deepen friendships and connections.
中国公共外交协会副会长胡正跃表示，丝路学院将是全球人才的故乡，以加深友谊和联系。
"Everything new needs time to grow. And this is the case with the Silk Road School. The key, during the process, is to cultivate talent and connections. Because you want them to be a partof it, to know about the Belt and Road, to know about China, and to know about relations andcooperation between China and other countries," says Hu.
胡正跃称：“任何新事物都需要时间来成长。丝路学院就是这样。在这个过程中，关键是要培养人才和人脉。因为你希望他们参与其中，了解一带一路，了解中国与其他国家的关系和合作。”
Enrollment has already started, with the first semester set to begin in September of this year. Students will be offered full scholarships, medical insurance, and a living allowance to studyChinese politics, Chinese economics, and Chinese law and culture.

Slovenian ambassador to China, Janez Premoze, conveyed sincere congrats to the new school. He thinks that it is great for the school to embrace young scholars from many differentcountries, in order to "not only learn about the Belt and Road Initiative but also learn about themodern reality of China."

As the first substantial educational practice of the Belt and Road Initiative, the Silk RoadSchool will keep exploring cooperation projects with other schools within Renmin University ofChina, with the goal of reaching 200 students within three years.
作为“一带一路”倡议的第一次实质性教育实践，丝路学院将继续探索与中国人民大学其他学院的合作项目，目标是在三年内惠及200名学生。

A team of mountaineers from Peking Universityreached the top of the world's highest mountain incelebration of the university's 120th anniversary.

Fourteen climbers -- seven students from theMountaineering Association of Peking University, twoteachers and five alumni -- made it to the top ofQomolangma.
成功登顶珠穆朗玛峰的14名队员中，包括了来自北大山鹰社的七名学生、两名教师和五名校友。
The youngest was 21 and the oldest 55. They had trained rigorously for two years for theirclimb to the summit.

PKU alumnus Huang Nubo, who led the team, said reaching the summit of the mountain wasnot the only goal.
