英语中not和no的差别有哪些

　　英语的否定式，主要体现在谓语中，还有一小部分体现在主语或者其他成分中。

　　1、not是副词，主要用于为 中的动词的否定式;no是形容词，用作前置定语限定名词。no比not的语气要强得多。

　　例如：

　　He does not have friends here.

　　他在这里没有朋友。

　　He has no friends here.

　　他有这里根本没有朋友。

　　They did not sell any oranges.

　　他们没卖一个橘子。

　　They sold no orange.

　　他们一个橘子也没卖。

　　2、not除了在表语前，可以直接否定句词外，在别的场合不能直接否定名词。

　　若要否定名词，通常必须在名词前加冠词或者其他定语：

　　This is not green.

　　这不是绿色。

　　Not adrop of water could be found.

　　一滴水也找不到。

　　Not allthe pears are rotten.

　　不是所有的梨子都烂了。(部分否定)

　　3、no与not的一些区别：

　　1)no是形容词，可以直接放在名词前面。但如果名词前面已有the, a(n)，any, much, enough等词，则用副词not。

　　例如：

　　√：I have no (=not any) money. 我没有钱。

　　√：I haven’t much money. 我没有很多钱。

　　╳：I have no much (no any) money.

　　2)与形容词或者副词的比较级连用时特别注意：用not属于一般比较结构，意为“比不上”或“不如”;用no则情况比较特殊，一般说来“no+形容词或副词比较级+than”所表示的意思是该形容词或副词的相反含义。

　　例如：

　　John is not better than Tom. 约翰不如汤姆好。

　　John is no better than Tom. 约翰和汤姆一样不好(=坏)。

　　类例：no richer than = as poor as 一样穷

　　no taller than = as short as 一样矮

　　no later than = as early as 一样早

　　3)在某些系表结构中，用not只表示一般的否定，用no则语气较强，可翻译成“决不是”。

　　例如：

　　He’s nota poet. 他不是诗人。

　　He’s no poet. 他决不是诗人。

　　4)no和not…any 都可以表示完全否定。注意，英语习惯上不说any…not。

　　例如：

　　√：He hasn’t any money. 他没有钱。

　　√：No one came to see me. 没有人来看过我。

　　╳：Any one didn’t come to see me.

　　5)非谓语动词的否定式，通常可以用not而不用no。

　　例如：

　　The teacher told him not to be late again. 老师叫他不要再迟到。

　　Not having received an answer, he decided towrite another letter to her. 由于没接到回信，他决定再给她写一封信。

　　但是，在某些省略结构或固定结构中(尤其是用于命令，警告，标牌等场合)，表示“禁止”“不许”等意义时，一般只用no。

　　例如：

　　No smoking. 禁止吸烟。

　　No admittance except on business. 非公莫入。
