英语与中文的定语位置不同

　　编者按：对于汉语来说，只有前置定语，即所有修饰成分都放在名词的前面，没有后置定语;而英语既有许多前置定语，又有很多后置定语。下面小编就来带你一起学习下，希望对大家有帮助。

　　例如：

　　a photograph of a family. 一幅家庭照。of a family作aphotograph的定语。

　　twelve new chairs imported from Europe.12把从欧洲进口的新椅子。twelve和new分别修饰chairs，是其前置定语。imported from Europe是chairs的后置定语。这里既出现了前置定语，又出现了后置定语。

　　句子中定语成分：

　　英语外刊题目：

　　Warplanes mount fresh airstrikes in Syria.

　　战机准备上演叙利亚的新空袭。

　　这里fresh作airstrikes的前置定语。

　　in Syria作airstrikes的后置定语。

　　mount 是及物动词，作谓语。

　　The aerial attacksfocused on a rebel-held area of northwestern Syria where dozens of people werekilled on Tuesday in a suspected chemical attack.

　　空袭集中于叙利亚北部的一个叛军占领区，在那里有12个人在星期二被可能的化学武器杀害了。

　　the aerial作attacks的前置定语。

　　a rebel-held作area的前置定语;of northwestern Syria作area的后置定语。

　　where指in northwestern Syria。

　　dozens of作people的前置定语。

　　a suspected chemical作attack的前置定语，这里有三个词汇a, suspected和chemical分别修饰attack，并作其定语。
