提高英语写作的方法:传神的表达从何而来

　　对很多应付考试的人来说,英语写作实在是无聊的事,因为对词汇和句子的学习粗略又肤浅.我想对比本文的一些英语表达和前文中的中文, 来表明:体会词的用法和积累句子才是写作提高的唯一方法.

　　Banyan, a heroic tree

　　I’d like to compare banyan to the spine of a man, for it is as important a tree as a hero to a country.

　　Somehow my respect for the tree has grown.

　　I tend to attribute my love for the tree to the fact that banyan rewards me with the kind banyan shade all the way between the home and the office.

　　Noble is characteristic of banyan. It has never been at the mercy of disasters which vary from storms to hurricanes.

　　Banyan offers to mask passengers off dust and noise. Shouldering the growing leaves, banyan is struggling to reach out for sunshine to make itself stronger. Such is the life of banyan in its existence.

　　Its quality empowers me to be firmer and persistent, especially when I am exposed to hardships and sufferings. Sure,I owe solute to beloved banyan.

　　写作分享：

　　1.前文中“我敢说：小叶榕是南国的脊梁”，英文我用了compare banyan to the spine of a man， 并没有出现“南国”对应的英语用语，因为“南方”不可能有脊梁啊，人和动物才有。反之，如果是comparebanyan to the spine of the south,会贻笑大方的。

　　2.前文中，如果把“小叶榕是高贵的” 表达成：Banyan is noble，而不是Noble is characteristic of banyan一定索然无味!

　　3.前文表达：我对小叶榕的敬意是实实在在的，但只能仰望而已，所以我用I owe solute to beloved banyan 更能传递我的情感和意思。

　　4.对这句Banyan offers to mask passengers off dust and noise 我觉得比较满意，offer to 在这里比较传神，因为小叶榕是 “主动”为人服务的。

　　传神的表达需要经久的磨练， 但确实是一件快乐的事啊!
