The Great Wall runs across North China like a huge dragon, It winds its way from west to east, across deserts, over mountains, through valleys till at last it reaches the sea. It's the longest wall on the earth, also one of the wonders in the world.
长城，像一条巨龙横亘华北地区，它穿过沙漠，越过高山，跨过山谷，由西到东蜿蜒曲折，最后到达大海。它是地球上最长的墙，也是世界奇迹之子。
The Great Wall has a history of more than 2000 years. The first part was built during the Spring and Autumn Period. All the walls were joined up in Qin Dynasty.All tile work was done by hand. Thousands of people died while building the wall.Thus the Great Wall came into existence.

优The Great Wall is one of the wonders in the world architectural history (建筑史).Starting from Shanhaiguan in the east and ending at Jiayuguan in the west,the Great Wall has a length (长度)about 6,700 kilometers.The earliest part of the Wall was built during the Warring States Period(476-211 B.C.) and the project was continued in the following dynasties (王朝).
The section of the Wall at Badaling is a typical part of the Great Wall of the Ming Dynasty.It is in Yanqing County,about 75 km far from Beijing.The wall averages (平均) 7.8 meters in height,6.5 meters wide at the base and 5.8 meters wide at the top.A watchtower (了望塔)was built every hundred meters.
Besides the famous Badaling Section,Juyongguan Section,Jinshanling Section,Simatai Section,Shanhaiguan and Jiayuguan are attractive (吸引人的) to the tourists(游客) from the world.

My mother and I came to the Great Wall by bus, only to see the Great Wall, rolling like a huge dragon crawling slowly, has been towards distant horizon...
