The Importance of Health
Health is one of the most popular topics in our life. In my understanding, health means not only physical fitness, but mental well-being as well, and its importance can never be overestimated, whoever and wherever you are.
A man with perfect health is always energetic and confident, harboring endless dreams, because he is less likely to be discouraged by diseases and pains, and then can be fully devoted to whatever they pursue. Moreover, a good health is a guarantee of great achievements, for a glorious cause always demands sustained effort and long-term devotion.
However, if a person has lost his health, whether physically or mentally, chances are that he will be anxious and depressed, not to mention of aiming high or climbing along the career ladder.
From the analysis above, we can draw a safe conclusion that health always comes first in our life, and health is the precondition of a happy and successful life.
Healthy eating habits are very important for our health. We should build healthy eating habits. We should eat fresh vegetables and fruits everyday.They supply rich and the necessary vitamins for us. We also should eat less meat everday.And we had better drink a glass of milk in the morning or at night. Besides, we should focus on abalanced diet, which assures us the necessary nutritions. Junk food is a fatal killer for our health so that we should stay far from them. It is said that most of students do not eat anything at all in the morning. It is very bad for our health. Breakfast is the most important meal for people.
Eating patterns change over time. Ingredients cannot be seen before in a country might begin to appear in local markets ， shipped from abroad. Migration causes cultures to change， and eating patterns invariably reflect new influences.
In the 20th century， few people have the time to go home for lunch， and many city dwellers find themselves in need of grabbing a bite to eat in a place close to their offices. As a result， the popularity of fast food and takeaway food has risen . In many urban areas， people who traditionally ate their main meal at midday now enjoy it in the evening， after work.
Changing eating patterns have an effect on other aspects of society. Meals have traditionally been times when members of a family catch up with each other. Fast food and quick meals sometimes threaten such family get-together.
