英语短文故事带翻译:一个好孩子

　　编者按：《A good boy》是一个英语短文故事，文中讲述的是一个小男孩把妈妈给他的钱给了一个老太太，那个老太太给他买糖果的故事。

　　Little Robert asked his mother for two cents."What did you do with the money I gave you yesterday?"

　　"I gave it to a poor old lady," he answered.

　　"You are a good boy," said the mother proudly."Here are two cents more. But why are you sointerested in the old lady?"

　　"She is the one who sells the candy."

　　cent [sɛnt]：美分

　　proud [praʊd]：骄傲的

　　interest ['ɪntrəst]：兴趣，利息

　　candy [ˈkændɪ]：糖果

　　小罗伯特昨天向妈妈要了两分钱，妈妈问他：“昨天我给你的钱花哪里去了?”

　　“我把钱给了一位可怜的老太太。”他回答。

　　“你真是个好孩子!”妈妈自豪地说，“再给你两分钱，但是你为什么那么在意那位老太太呢?”

　　“因为她卖给我糖果吃。”小罗伯特说。
