　　二、翻译下列短文

　　Literal Translation and Liberal Translation

　　Practically there are two kinds of translation. One is literal translation and the other is liberal translation. The two methods are both necessary, that’s to say, you may use either of them to do translation work. While, in most cases, both of them should be employed together in order to make the translation of FAITHFUL and SMOOTH. Literal translation refers to a representation of the form or word order of the original. Liberal translation, however, does not adhere strictly to the form or word order of the original. We can hardly say which method is better, each has its merits and defects. Some people prefer literal translation and others like liberal translation.

　　正视失意

　　失意受挫的时候，你喜欢和什么样的人接触。

　　我有些朋友很坚强，即使是从高处摔下，焦头烂额又倒霉透顶的时候，他们还是会选择和春风得意、鸿运当头的人在一起， 希望可以刺激自己重新站起来。不管得势的人如何趾高气扬，不可一世，朋友依然可以处之泰然。

　　我很佩服这类友人，如果是我就没法做到。当我失意落难的时候，我喜欢和同是沦落人在一起，毕竟大家在那一刻拥有相似的心情，我的心境，我说的话他一定都能了解，同病相怜之余的相互勉励，也必定是更为真切的。

　　其实，在不如意时，我更喜欢的是独处。全世界的人可以不来理我，我也不理会他人。伤口惟有自己治疗，我只想面对自己，大哭一场也好，痛定思痛也好，三天三夜不吃不喝不眠也好，我自己要熬过来。谁不知道跌倒了要勇敢爬起来，所以谁来跟我说什么都没用，面对失败的认知过程，一定得自己去挣扎。

　　如果我在某处碰了个大钉子，我会选择快速离开，不会在那里硬撑，或是企盼能再回去翻身。何苦呢?在同一个地方，你要应付的将是双倍的压力，倒不如换个环境，也许就时来运转。

　　坦白说，失意的人不容易相处，但是如果首先可以自处，过了自己这一关，走出去就容易多了。
